I will choose a fixed set of objects (e.g. chair, key, cat, person, Volkswagen) and look at what their recognition trigger features are.

I will use a number of pictures from classic recognition tests and test-sets.

Looking at rubbish is hard. It’s hard to discriminate actual object. Scale is tricky. There will be more rubbish soon..

Above are some recognition stimulus images paired with their ‘degraded/abstracted” image. Apparently the neurons involved in the recognition process prefer the more abstract stimuli.
